The Baruch College Bearcats will begin the 2013 CUNYAC/Applebee’s Softball Championship Tournament on Friday, May 3, at 12:00 pm.

The tournament is a double-elimination format and will be hosted by the College of Staten Island.

The Bearcats will start play against Hunter at 12:00 pm.

Teams are seeded based upon their final regular season standings. Baruch and Staten Island were tied for first place in the standings with an 11-1 record. They were also tied in all the tie-breaker scenarios. As a result, that forced a coin flip to decide the top seed, and the Bearcats won.  

The winner of the tournament will earn CUNYAC’s automatic berth to the NCAA Championship Tournament that will start nationally on Friday, May 10.
