The Baruch College men's basketball program has announced its schedule for the 2013-14 season according to Head Coach John Alesi.

The 25-game schedule will feature 10 home games in the ARC Arena, while the team will hit the road for two tournaments and 11 road games.

One of the 11 road dates will be against Division I Yale University on Saturday, January 11, at 2:00 pm in New Haven, Connecticut.

The Bearcats will tip-off their season on Friday, November 15, against host Franklin & Marshall College in the Rotary Tip-Off Tournament in Lancaster, PA. The next day, they will play either Middlebury College or Alvernia University, both 2013 NCAA Tournament participants, in the consolation or championship.

"We will be challenging our team right away this season," stated Alesi. "Participating against teams who not only get to the NCAA Tournament regularly but who also have a history of making deep runs will be a great experience and test for us."

Baruch will welcome Centenary College on Tuesday, November 19, at 7:30 pm for their home opener while Hunter will be the first conference opponent to visit the ARC Arena on Tuesday, November 26, at 7:30 pm.  Last season the Bearcats finished with a 10-3 record on their home court.

The team will travel to Farmville, Virginia after the final exam/holiday break to compete in the highly competitive Luck Stone Holiday Classic. They will play Lynchburg College on December 29th  and the hosts Hampden-Sydney on December 30th.

The annual exciting home event the Battle of Lexington will take place on Thursday, February 6, at 8:00 pm against Lehman College.
Additional games of note include games against NCAA Tournament participants Stevens Tech (December 3rd) and the College of Staten Island (January 4th & January 31st.)

"Our schedule should do a great job of preparing us for the conference schedule- which is always a challenge," said Alesi.  "There are 8 potential games on our schedule against teams who at some point last season were ranked or received votes in the Top 25 poll.  We feel this is the best way to prepare our team for our ultimate goals, a CUNY title and getting to the NCAA Tournament."

The Bearcats finished last season with a 17-11 overall record and second place finish during the regular season in the CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC). They also earned a postseason berth to the ECAC Championship Tournament.
