The men's soccer team recorded their eighth win of the season by defeating Berkeley College of New York, 3-0, in a non-conference contest played on Wednesday evening at Field #10 on Randall's Island.

Armando Aguilar started the scoring in the 20th minute on a cross into the box from Dovlet Bayryyev for a 1-0 lead.

The two teams played a competitive contest the rest of the match as the Bearcats needed two late goals to pull away from the Knights.

Abraham Anthonio scored his first career intercollegiate goal in the 73rd minute. Marcello Neto fired a shot into the box on a corner kick and the ball found Xhulio Xhaferraj, who collected the ball and fed Anthonio for the second score.

Robert Aronov clinched the win with a goal two minutes from the final whistle on an assist from Alexander Marano.

Xavier Carrillo and Jonathan Morales combined for the shutout, which is the team's second this week.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, October 18, with a 12:00 pm home match at the Met Oval against rival Hunter College.
