The men's tennis team won their two matches on Thursday by defeating rival Hunter (5-4) and York (9-0) to clinch first place in the conference regular season standings.

The Bearcats were forced to squeeze in two matches in one day due to a regular season that has seen seven matches postponed by weather.

The team started started with a 12:00 pm match against Hunter at the U.S. National Tennis Center. They won two of the three doubles and split the singles (3-3) for the close 5-4 score.

After the Hunter match, they traveled across the borough of Queens to Jamaica to play York at 4:00 pm. They won all three doubles and six singles for the shutout win.

The Bearcats will return to action tomorrow, Friday, April 18, with a 4:00 pm rescheduled match at Lehman College in the Bronx.
