Women’s Volleyball Wins CUNYAC Regular Season Championship, Sweep CCNY

The women's volleyball team swept the Beavers of CCNY on Thursday night with scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-12 to clinch first place in the CUNYAC regular season standings for the eighth time in team history.

The Bearcats will own the top seed in the CUNYAC Championship Tournament that starts with quarterfinal round matches on Tuesday, November 3, at higher seeds.

A complete schedule will be released by the conference office as soon as all matches are completed.

Against CCNY, Symone Green was the big hitter with 11 kills, followed by Sydney Parks with seven kills and McKenzie Davidson with five kills and eight digs. Crystle Dela Cruz had 27 assists and Amy Sung had 11 digs to round off the road victory.

The Bearcats will travel to Pennsylvania on Saturday for matches against Moravian (11:00 am) and Muhlenberg Colleges (3:00 pm).
