Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Bearcats Fall in Pennsylvania

The women's volleyball team dropped a pair of contests to tough opponents on Saturday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The team started against Moravian College, but suffered the defeat in five sets with scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 17-25, 13-15.

McKenzie Davidson powered the visiting Bearcats with a double-double of 12 kills and 14 digs. Symone Green had 10 kills and three blocks, while Sydney Parks and Akilah Meulens finished with nine kills each.

Crystle Dela Cruz was busy again with another double-double of 42 assists and 11 digs. Amy Sung totaled 28 digs and Nicole Rios had 13 digs.

In the second match, the Mules of Muhlenberg College swept the visiting Bearcats with scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-21.  The Mules finished hitting .280 and totaled 42 kills.
Dela Cruz had 24 assists, while Green and Davidson posted six kills each.

The Bearcats will finish their regular season schedule on Tuesday, October 27, with a 7:00 pm CUNYAC home contest on Senior Night against the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College.
