CUNYAC Quarterfinal: Baruch 3, CCNY 0; Bearcats Play John Jay in Friday's Semifinal

The women's volleyball team defeated the Beavers of The City College of New York in three in a CUNYAC Championship quarterfinal round match played on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

With the result, the Bearcats advance to the semifinal round on Friday night at Hunter College to play John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The winner advances to the 8:00 pm final. For a complete schedule, please scroll down below.

The seniors made their final match count in the ARC Arena with Sydney Parks totaling 13 kills, while Crystle Dela Cruz had 25 assists and McKenzie Davidson nine kills.

"Tonight was a good match to test our defensive positioning," said Head Coach Carrie Thomas. "CCNY came at us with a lot of different hits and we were able to hold our defense and maintain control of the ball.  I was a little upset with our service percentage but that's an easy fix.  We are ready for Friday.  These girls are looking to regain that CUNY title and won't stop fighting until they get it.  This is a great group of girls that work hard every match.  As long as we play our game and work hard for each point, we will be just fine.  I have high expectations for these girls and that's nothing but the best!"
