Men's Tennis Falls in CUNYAC Championship, Three-Year Championship Run Ends

The men's tennis team lost 5-1 to rival Hunter College in the CUNYAC Championship on Thursday evening at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

The Hawks won all three doubles and followed up with wins at second and first singles to clinch the victory. Per postseason rules, the match was halted upon the first team to reach five points.

Sharki Ahmed won the lone point for the Bearcats at sixth singles with a 6-4, 6-3 score.

The loss ends the team's three-year championship win streak and NCAA appearance.
