Women's Volleyball Falls in Season Opener to Stockton

The women's volleyball team lost in three sets (25-14, 25-14, 25-17) to the Ospreys of Stockton University in the season-opening match of the 2015 season on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The visiting Ospreys totaled 46 kills hitting .341, while the Bearcats had 23 kills hitting for a percentage of .141.

Symone Green led the Bearcats with 8 kills, while Crystle Dela Cruz dished out 22 assists and Amy Sung totaled nine digs.

The Ospreys, who played in the NCAA Tournament last year, were led by Macy Schwartz with 16 kills (.611) and two blocks.

The Bearcats will quickly return to action tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 2, with a 7:30 pm home contest against St. Joseph's College of Patchogue. First serve in the ARC Arena is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
