Women's Volleyball Sweeps John Jay, Lehman at CUNYAC Multi-Match

The women's volleyball team started their CUNYAC schedule on a high note with a pair of sweeps on Saturday afternoon at the CUNYAC Multi-Match hosted by CCNY.

The Bearcats started with a 25-15, 25-21, 25-21 win against John Jay College of Criminal Justice.  

A majority of the roster saw action in the early afternoon match with Symone Green (three aces) and McKenzie Davidson leading the attack with six kills each. Sydney Parks had five kills.

Crystle Dela Cruz had another double-double with 20 assists and 10 digs for the first win against conference opposition.

In the late afternoon match against Lehman College at the Nat Holman Gymnasium, the Bearcats won with scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-10.

Parks was the big hitter with 10 kills (.333) and Akilah Meulens totaled eight kills (.353). Davidson finished with 13 digs.

The Bearcats will return to action on Monday night, September 14, with a 7:00 pm home match against the Mariners from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
