Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Women's Volleyball Drops Tri-Match to NYU, Haverford

The women's volleyball team lost both ends of their home tri-match to New York University and Haverford College on Saturday in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats started play versus neighbor NYU and lost 25-7, 25-18, 25-8. Akilah Meulens had three kills and Tara Imbrenda dished out 11 assists.

In the second match, the team lost to the Fords of Haverford with scores of 25-10, 25-22, 25-16. McKenzie Davidson had nine kills and seven digs, while Nicole Rios tallied nine digs. Imbrenda dished out another 18 assists and tied a career-high with eight digs to close out the home tri-match.

The women's volleyball team will resume action on Friday, October 2, at the Kean University Invitational in Union New Jersey. The team has matches scheduled in the first day against Frostburg State (4:00 pm) and Olivet (8:00 pm).
