William Paterson Pioneers Take Down Bearcats

The men's soccer team lost 3-0 to the Pioneers of William Paterson University in non-conference action on Monday night in Wayne, New Jersey.

The two teams played a scoreless first half, but the second proved different as the Pioneers scored quickly in the 46th minute. The Bearcats stayed close and trailed late in the 83rd minute by one goal, but the Pioneers clinched the home win with two late strikes.

William Rosales, Colby Aranibar and John Kazubowski tallied a shot for the visiting Bearcats. Xavier Carrillo and Victor Torres combined for 12 saves.

The Pioneers, who scored each of their three goals unassisted, finished with 24 shots.

The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, October 19, with a 5 p.m. CUNYAC home contest against York College at Randall's Island Field #10.
