Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer, Bulldogs of Brooklyn College Draw 1-1

The men's soccer team tied 1-1 with the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Saturday afternoon at the Met Oval in Maspeth, New York.

The Bearcats scored first in the seventh minute with Oshae Miller blasting a shot from eight yards inside the box for the quick 1-0 lead.

Brooklyn responded in the 23rd minute with Valentyn Kharko hitting a perfectly placed free kick over the defensive wall to tie it up.

The two teams battled the rest of regulation and each had an opportunity in double overtime to win, but the match ended in a draw.

The Bearcats again out-shot their opponent, 25-18, in the match.

Miller finished with a career-high 10 shot attempts, which featured six on goal.

Xavier Carrillo had six saves for the Bearcats, while Jerron Steete finished with 11 for the visiting Bulldogs.

The Bearcats will continue their schedule on Columbus Day, Monday, October 10, with a 6 p.m. non-conference home match against NYU at Randall's Island Field #10.
