Men's Basketball Honors Seniors at Battle of Lex, Next Play Hunter Thursday in Playoff

The men's basketball team lost 73-58 to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Tuesday night at the Battle of Lexington in the ARC Arena.

The visiting Bulldogs scored the first 12 points of the second half to turn a 23-19 advantage into a 35-19 lead with 16:30 left.

The Bearcats battled back and got as close 46-40 on a driving layup by Chimaechi Ekekeugbor with 8:28 remaining, but the Bulldogs took back the momentum with back-to-back threes, along with a layup, to drive the advantage back up to 54-40 en route to the win.

The Bearcats struggled from the field shooting 27 percent (19-70).

The team will quickly resume action on Thursday, February 18, with a 7:30 pm CUNYAC home first round playoff contest against rival Hunter College..

Prior to the start of tonight's game, the team honored seniors Ryan Markoe, Edward Roscigno and Raymond De La Cruz.
