Lightning Knocks Off Bearcats

The women's basketball team lost a CUNYAC contest, 78-52, to the Lightning of Lehman College on Friday night in the Bronx, New York.

The Lightning outscored the Bearcats, 17-8, during the second period for a halftime lead of 28-23. They started the second half by scoring nine of the first eleven points to pull away.

Veronica Ganzi led the visiting Bearcats with 25 points and eight rebounds. Jaclyn Thammakhoune had a career-night with a near double-double of 12 points and nine rebounds. Lauren Smith had her first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Amely Del Rosario led five players in double-figures for the home team with 25 points, nine rebounds, six assists and six steals.
