Mount Saint Vincent Defeats Bearcats (13-5)

The baseball team lost a high-scoring 13-5 road contest to the Dolphins from the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday afternoon at the Richmond County Sports Complex on Staten Island, New York.

The Dolphins totaled 21 hits and scored in every inning, except the fifth, for the victory.

The Bearcats had little trouble at the plate with 14 hits, but could not muster enough hits together to keep up with the Dolphins.

They scored first on an RBI single by Jasdeep Buttar for the brief lead 1-0 lead in their opening at-bat.

Raymond Maurer (pair of RBI singles), Donovan Hunt (RBI double), and Nicholas Calabrese (RBI single) helped account for the other scoring.

The Bearcats will quickly return to action on Saturday, April 23, with a 1 p.m. CUNYAC home doubleheader against Lehman College on Senior Day at MCU Park.
