Baseball Improves to 5-1 in CUNYAC, Sweep Lehman on Senior Day

The baseball team celebrated Senior Day by sweeping the Lightning of Lehman College (7-4, 4-3) in a CUNYAC home doubleheader at MCU Park on Coney Island.

Prior to the game, the team honored seniors
Matthew Ballone and Joseph Cali for their years of service to the baseball program.

The Bearcats received a complete game, 10 strikeout pitching performance from
Cameron Kitt in the 7-4 opening win at the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Jasdeep Buttar had the hot bat going 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Edwin Saint-Hilaire was also perfect batting 3-for-3, with two RBI.

In the second game, Saint-Hilaire continued his outstanding day by walking with the bases loaded to plate Buttar for the 4-3 victory in eight innings. Hilaire finished the second game batting 2-for-3, with an RBI and run scored.
Matthew Fazio got the no decision with nine strikeouts.
