The men's volleyball team swept the Dolphins from the College of Staten Island with scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-17 to advance to the CUNYAC Championship Rounds on Friday night at home in the ARC Arena.
Brady Ambro led the attack this evening with a career-high 10 aces and Scott Standring had 11 kills.
Stephen Roach dished out 12 assists and Taylor Higgs tallied seven digs to send the Bearcats into the championship rounds on Friday night.
"It is good to win at home and come back Friday to defend the title on our home court," said Head Coach Danial Levent. "Our team, especially our seniors, are very eager to get back on the court to play for another championship."
Hunter will play John Jay at 4 p.m., followed by the Bearcats at 6 p.m. versus York College. The winners will advance to the final scheduled for 8 p.m. that will be televised by ESPN3.
Please note tickets are free for the championship round matches on Friday, but you must register in advance at CUNYAthletics.com/tickets.
