Softball Stays Alive in CUNYAC Championship

The softball team stayed alive in the CUNYAC Championship with a 9-7 victory over the Lightning of Lehman College on Saturday afternoon at the CSI Softball Complex.

The Bearcats started the chilly and overcast day with an 8-0 loss to Hunter, but bounced back in the elimination game as Nicole Bellini and Cassandra Lagana each smacked a pair of doubles in the 9-7 win over Lehman.

Christina Chin and Lagana also scored two runs to help the team record their 10th win of the season.

The Bearcats will regroup and prepare to play Hunter in a Sunday morning elimination game at 10:30 am at the CSI Softball Complex.
