Bearcats Drop CUNYAC Clash

The women's volleyball team lost in three to their rival Hunter College Hawks (25-23, 25-14, 25-13) on Thursday night at the Hunter College Sportsplex in uptown New York City.

The two teams started with a competitive opening set, but Hunter pulled off the narrow win, 25-23, to establish the momentum the rest of the match. The Hawks finished out-hitting the Bearcats with 36-18 advantage in kills.

Akilah Meulens and Julia Deutschmann led the Bearcats this evening with five kills each. Stephanie Cornwell totaled a double-double with 23 assists and 13 digs.

Taylor Kerr-Haiduk led the home team with 17 kills (.314) and four aces.
