Women's Basketball Starts Home Schedule Against Stockton

Women's Basketball Head Coach KellyAnn Barrett Preseason Interview Regarding Upcoming Season

The NCAA Division III women's basketball season began this evening as the Bearcats hosted the Ospreys of Stockton University in the ARC Arena.

Shannon Barrett led all scorers with a career-high 26 points to go along with six rebounds and one steal.

Melinda Spahiu had a solid intercollegiate debut with seven points, six rebounds, six steals and five assists. Lissette Debord debuted with five points and four rebounds.

Daniela Arias recorded three steals and assists each.

The Ospreys, picked this season to finish second in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC), had 12 players in the scoring column in recording the 95-45 victory.

Lea Mendolla led the visitors from southern New Jersey with 15 points and three steals.
