Men's Volleyball Runs Past Staten Island

The men's volleyball team defeated the Dolphins from the College of Staten Island in a sweep on Thursday night in Staten Island, New York.

The Bearcats posted winning scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-10 by hitting .341 with 39 kills. The Dolphins had 18 kills hitting -.049.

Nathaniel Chin had a big match with a career-high 14 kills. Brendan Murphy distributed 22 assists and Nicholas Godino collected 12 digs in the non-conference contest.

Mark Palencia led the hosts with six kills.

The Bearcats will resume their schedule on Tuesday, April 4, with a 6:00 p.m. CUNYAC home contest against the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College. The winner of this contest will clinch the No. 2 in the CUNYAC Tournament and earn a quarterfinal round bye.
