Bearcats Finish Regular Season Against New Rochelle, CUNYAC Starts Wednesday

The softball team took on the College of New Rochelle in a non-conference doubleheader (7-2, 9-1 losses) on Sunday afternoon.

Katherine DelRosario started the scoring in the first game with an RBI double to plate Nicole Bellini. New Rochelle scored the next seven runs, but DelRosario struck again with a homer in the sixth inning for the 7-2 final.

The visiting Bearcats suffered a 9-1 defeated in the second game, but did not go quietly as Kristen Podlovits blasted her second homer of the season in the fifth inning.

The team will next turn their attention to the CUNYAC Championship Tournament that will get underway on Wednesday, May 3, at higher seeds.

The Bearcats will travel to play against John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The time and location will be announced on Monday.
