Bearcats Fall to Plattsburgh (3-1) in Potsdam College Cup

The men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss to Plattsburgh State on Saturday afternoon at the Potsdam College Cup in Potsdam, New York. 

The Bearcats struck first in the 11th minute with Dortion Alipaj scoring on an assist from Frank Iacovano.

The Cardinals from the SUNY Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) came back to tie the match seven minutes later and scored two more early in the second half en route to the neutral site win. John LaTouche finished with two assists for Plattsburgh, who recorded 19 total shots in the contest.

Bearcats' GK Victor Torres recorded a career-high 11 saves.

Torres and Cormac Foley were both voted to the Potsdam College Cup All-Tournament Team.

The men's soccer team will return and next play their home opener on Wednesday, September 6, with a non-conference contest against St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn. Kick off at Randall's Island Soccer Field #70 is set for 6:00 p.m.
