Men's Soccer Overcomes Slow Start, Defeat CCNY to Stretch Win Streak to 5

The men's soccer team overcame an early goal by CCNY to record a 4-1 CUNYAC road win on Saturday morning at Randall's Island.

The Beavers took a 1-0  lead the 25th minute on a goal by Aidan Robinson, but the visiting Bearcats tied it in the 36th minute on an unassisted strike by Bryan Nunez.

The two teams battled in the second half and the Bearcats broke open the tie with three goals late in the match by Dortion Alipaj (76th min), Bakary Kida (87th min) and Cormac Foley (89th min) to extend the winning streak to five and go 3-0 in the CUNYAC standings.

In addition to scoring, Foley and Alipaj also recorded assists during the late scoring surge. 

The Bearcats attempted 31 shots compared to eight by the Beavers on a sunny Saturday morning.

The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, September 28, with a 6:00 p.m. CUNYAC home contest against the College of Staten Island at Randall's Island Field #10. Please note a FaceBook live broadcast of this match will be available at BaruchAthletics.
