NJCU Knocks Out Bearcats in Five (25-19, 22-25, 21-25, 25-17, 20-22)

The women's volleyball team lost a heart-breaker in five sets (25-19, 22-25, 21-25, 25-17, 20-22) in a thrilling match on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats started strong with an opening set win and later forced the tie-breaking fifth-set by winning the fourth, but in the end, the visiting Gothic Knights pulled out the win by notching the last two points to walk away victorious.

The Gothic Knights tallied 80 digs, while the Bearcats had 67 on the defensive side. 

Anita Sengara had 22 kills in a match for the second time this season and has recorded at least 10 or more kills in 12 matches.

The Bearcats will travel on Columbus Day to the CUNYAC Multi-Match hosted by Lehman College. They will play Lehman (10am) and John Jay (12pm) in a pair of matches with playoff seeding implications.
