Bearcats Split CUNYAC Multi-Match

The women's volleyball team competed on Columbus Day at the CUNYAC Multi-Match hosted by Lehman College in the Bronx, New York.

In a busy day with both conference matches going the distance, the Bearcats lost in five to John Jay, but bounced back in the afternoon to defeat Lehman.

Wai Chang set a career-high with 27 digs, while Daniela Lopez (nine kills, six aces) and Yeaslie Velasco (eight kills, 17 digs) also had big matches against Lehman. Abigail Nolasco  had a career-high 10 kills against Lehman.

Against John Jay, Anita Sengara led the attack with 19 kills and tallied 14 digs.

The Bearcats will hit the road next Saturday traveling to Massachusetts to play in a tri-match against Mount Holyoke with Southern Maine as the third team.
