Bearcats Fall to Maritime in DH

The baseball team lost both ends of a non-conference doubleheader (7-1, 2-0) to Maritime College on Sunday afternoon. 

In the opening contest on a chilly afternoon, the Privateers set the tone early by jumping out to a 7-0 lead.

The Bearcats could only muster three hits to last year's Skyline Conference Champions and scored their lone run in the sixth inning on a bases loaded hit by pitch to Gerardo Roque to plate Davic Capellan.

In the second contest, the Bearcats were limited to one single by Liam O'Gara in a 2-0 shutout loss.

The Bearcats will host their home opener on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. contest against the United States Merchant Marine Academy at MCU Park on Coney Island.
