Bearcats Fall in CUNYAC Battle to Rival Hawks

The men's volleyball team lost in straight sets (25-21, 25-21, 25-16) to the Hawks of Hunter College on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The visiting Hawks totaled 39 kills, hitting .250, while the Bearcats had 26 kills for an .087 hitting percentage.

Stephen Roach (10 assists) and Samuel Rabidoux each had six kills, while Kyriakos Semertzidis totaled 11 digs in the tough home loss.

Blake Hogan led the Hawks with 11 kills and Alec Helford recorded 31 assists.

The Bearcats will resume action on Thursday night with a 6 p.m. non-conference match against No. 8 ranked SUNY New Paltz.

Prior to the match, the team will honor seniors Stephen Roach, Samuel Rabidoux, Nathaniel Chin, Evan Renton, and Jacob Mareschal Rudin.
