NYU Downs Bearcats in Three

The women's volleyball team lost in three to the Violets of New York University on Tuesday night at the Brooklyn Athletic Facility.

The Violets hit .352 in their home win with 22 blocks on Senior Night.

The visiting Bearcats started strong in each set, but the Violets rallied for the straight set win.

Anita Sengara, who recorded her 1,000th career kill this past weekend, had another double-digit effort with 10 kills.

Sanaa Hadjeb, the CUNYAC Player of the Week, dished out 10 assists. Claudia Moi also had 10 assists with six digs.

Wai Chang collected 11 digs as the Bearcats saw their four-match winning streak come to an end.

Maddie DeJong led NYU with 11 kills.

The Bearcats will hit the road again on Thursday for a CUNYAC match at York College in Jamaica, New York.
