Men's Tennis Downs Hunter Hawks (7-2), Take Over First place

The men's tennis team is now 4-0 in the CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) standings following a 7-2 Sunday afternoon win against Hunter at the Alley Pond Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats won two of the three doubles and five of the six singles to catapult themselves into sole possession of first place. 

The Bearcats play two very important CUNYAC matches this week against Brooklyn College on Tuesday (Bearcats Appreciation Day) and the College of Staten Island early afternoon Friday as the race to finish top two in the standings starts to heat up. First and second place earn quarterfinal round byes. 

The Bearcats took control in the doubles and received a brilliant effort from the second duo of Michael Dozortsev and Clement Lacoudre, who blanked their opponents, 8-0.

Per the singles, #2 Leonard Margolis posted the first win quickly with 6-0, 6-2 scores.
