Softball Takes on Sarah Lawrence in Home DH

The softball team resumed action on Tuesday with a reschedule home doubleheader at Randall's Island against Sarah Lawrence College.

In the first game, the visiting Gryphons scored seven runs early in the first inning to take the first game, 10-0.

The Bearcats smacked four hits in that opener with a single apiece by Gabrielle Huezo, Victoria Kisling, Danielle Petrunti, and Daniela Lopez.

In the second game, the Gryphons scored a run in each inning for the sweep.

The Bearcats bats came alive in the third inning with three runs, beginning with Jooyoung Park smacking an RBI single to bring home Kaitlyn Rivera.

The second run came home after a double steal with Park taking second and Darine Mata stealing home successfully.

Huezo had another hit for an RBI to bring home Park.

The Bearcats will continue their schedule on Thursday with a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader at SUNY Old Westbury.
