Old Westbury Takes Two in Non-Conference Contest

 The softball team lost a doubleheader (5-0, 23-0) to the Panthers of SUNY Old Westbury on Thursday afternoon on Long Island.

The first game was tightly contested with the opponent only recording four hits, but they did enough with three runs in the third and two more in the sixth for the non-conference win.

The visiting Bearcats had two hits apiece from Danielle Petrunti and Kaitlyn Rivera.

In the second game, the Panthers from the Skyline Conference took control early in the first inning en route to the sweep.

Gabrielle Huezo had two singles for the Bearcats.

The team will resume their CUNYAC action on Saturday 12:00 p.m. at Lehman College.
