Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Bearcats, NYU Draw 1-1

The men's soccer team played the Violets of New York University to a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, New York.

The Violets kept the pressure on the Bearcats all match by winning the shots battle 19-11 and attempting 14 corner kicks.

Outside of a free kick goal in the 11th minute by Sergio Monton, the Bearcats and GK Kellen Sela (seven saves) kept the Violets off the scoreboard.

The visiting Bearcats turned the momentum in their favor in the 72nd minute to tie the match. 

Michael Grald scored off a corner kick assist by Adonis Martinez. The assist was Martinez's fourth and Grald's second goal of the season.

The Bearcats came close to scoring the winner, but couldn't forcing overtime where the two teams eventually finished in a draw.

Ricardo Llanos led the team with three shot attempts.
