Women's Cross Country Head Coach Angeoline Piguave-Cowan has announced the team's individual awards.
Sophomore Karina Chiqui was named the MVP, while freshman Nathalia Molineros was voted as the Rookie of the Year.
Chiqui was excellent during her fall season campaign. A Macaulay Honors College and Dean's List Student, she won the team's Rookie of the Year award last year and now adds MVP. She ran eight races this past season, including the postseason CUNYAC, ECAC and NCAA Regional Championship Meets. She ran very well at the NCAA in Canton, New York with a time of 34:58.
Molineros earns Rookie of the Year honors after an outstanding debut season. The freshman and communications major also ran eight races this past season, which included the postseason CUNYAC, ECAC and NCAA Regional Championship Meets. She also had a solid NCAA meet with a time of 35:26.
