Softball Head Coach Joseph Braun and Assistant Coach Nicole Bellini have announced the team's individual awards.

Freshman Julia Cuttone was named the MVP, while sophomore Mircelis Paredes earned the Coaches Award.

While only a freshman, Head Coach Joseph Braun says Cuttone epitomizes what it means to be the most valuable for her team. Not only was she the top offensive player they had during their few scrimmages, but she pitched well and played solid defense at first base. The Journalism major had several extra base hits, including a homer and two doubles. 

For second-year Bearcat Paredes, Assistant Coach Nicole Bellini noticed a great work ethic and attitude that is hard to match. The Business Management major improved by leaps and bounds in both her skill level and her confidence this year. Big things are in store for her future.
