Women's Tennis Clinch CUNYAC Regular Season Tennis Title, Defeat York (9-0)

The women's tennis team recorded a 9-0 victory against the Cardinals of York College on Friday afternoon in Jamaica, New York.

The Bearcats won all six singles and three doubles to stay undefeated with their regular season schedule at 8-0.

Regina Kelley and Erica Sheludenko recorded the first team point winning 8-0 at third doubles.

Wakana Iida won at third singles, 6-0, 6-1. Kelly Contreras was victorious at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-3.

Brianna Joy Augustin won at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-3.

The Bearcats clinch the top seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championship Tournament.

The Bearcats will finish their CUNYAC schedule tomorrow with a rescheduled match against Lehman College. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx.

Prior to the match, the team will honor Lauren Kraker, Natalie Ibelhaupt, Arielle Rabizadeh, Khilola Rustamova and Wakana Iida for playing in their final regular season match.
