Women's Tennis Beats Brooklyn in Semifinal, Play Hunter Thursday for CUNYAC Title & NCAA Bid

The women's tennis team defeated the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College, 5-0, in a CUNYAC semifinal match played on Tuesday evening at the Stadium Tennis Center at Mill Pond Park in the Bronx.

The Bearcats advance to play in the championship match on Thursday against Hunter College. First serve at the prestigious USTA Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on CUNYAC's facebook page.

The Bearcats won all three doubles and two singles for the 5-0 victory. Per post-season rules, the match was halted upon the first team to win five points.

Rookie Ava Deguzman stays undefeated at first singles with a 6-0, 6-0 score line.

Lauren Kraker recorded the match-winning fifth point at second singles 6-0, 6-0,
