The men's basketball team defeated the Hawks of Hunter College 107-96 on Friday night.
With the exception of the game's first basket scored by the Hawks, the visiting Bearcats led the rest of the evening building a 54-44 halftime lead.
The lead never went below double-digits during the second half as the Bearcats controlled the action shooting 55 percent (18-for-33) and clamped down on defense limiting the Hawks to only 12 successful threes in their 48 total attempts.
The game ended high-scoring with six different Bearcats in double-figures led by Gerard Nicholson with a near triple-double of 19 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. His brother Devin went for a team-high 21 points in the road win at the Hunter Sportsplex.
Sayeed Osorio (17 points), Jehmehl Fair (13 points), Mohamed Gueye (13 points), and Emil Purisic (12 points) also filled up the stats sheet against Hunter's run-and-gun offense. Â
Luka Jakic led the home team with a near double-double of 16 points and nine rebounds.
