Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Day 2: Men's Volleyball Competes at Arcadia Knights Invitational

The men's volleyball team finished their second day of competition at the 2022 Arcadia Knights Volleyball Invitational on Sunday afternoon in Glenside, Pennsylvania.

The visiting Bearcats suffered a pair of tough losses against California Lutheran in four and the weekend hosts Arcadia University in three to finish schedule play.

Jack Centeno and Defeng Han were recognized for their solid play this weekend by being named All-Tournament. 

Match Highlights

Cal Lutheran 3-1 (26-24, 16-25, 10-25, 20-25)

- First-ever volleyball meeting between the two schools (Cal Lutheran 1-0) .

- Centeno led the attack with eight kills. Han had six and Andrew Ubanwa five.   

- Ryan Oommen and Stallone Shankar had 11 assists each.

- Shankar also added 10 digs and Centeno had seven.

- Michael Higgins posted three blocks. 

- Cal Lutheran finished hitting .246 with 51 kills. Bearcats had 28 kills hitting .071.

Arcadia 3-0 (20-25, 31-33, 17-25)

-  Second-ever volleyball meeting between the two schools (Arcadia 2-0).

- Centeno led the attack again with 10 kills. Haoxin Hu added five. 

- Shankar dished out 15 assists and Oommen had 12.

- Centeno also led in digs with seven. Naoki Tani had five.

- Akil Vaughn totaled five blocks and Han had four.

- Arcadia finished hitting .193 with 35 kills. Bearcats had 31 kills hitting .066.

-The Bearcats totaled more digs with a 28-27 advantage.
