Bearcats Lose Tough Match to Rival Hunter

The men's volleyball lost a tough four-setter to the Hawks of Hunter College on Tuesday night.

The result ends the Bearcats' 11 match winning streak.

The tighly contested match featured three of the four sets being decided by 25-23 scores each.

The Bearcats will resume action on Thursday with a 6:00 pm home match against Lehman College.

Prior to the match, the team will honor Stallone Shankar and Justin Iloulian on Bearcats Appreciation Night. 

HIGHLIGHTS

* Jack Centeno had a solid match with 13 kills and seven digs.He has recorded 10 or more kills seven different times this season.

* Stallone Shankar dished out 29 assists and collected 12 digs. 

* Andrew Ubanwa notched seven kill and four blocks.

* CUNYAC Rookie of the Week winner Haoxin Hu had six kills.

* Ted Kim led the Hawks with 14 kills. Cooper Moran had 42 assists.

* The Bearcats and Hawks now share first place in the CUNYAC standings. They each won at home 3-1.
