Men's Tennis Defeats Rival Hunter 8-1

The men's tennis team recorded an 8-1 CUNYAC win against the Hawks of Hunter College of Saturday afternoon at the USTA Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats earned the victory by winning two of the three doubles and all six singles to improve to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the CUNYAC.

HIGHLIGHTS

* George Arteaga and Jim Bauer won the first team point at second doubles, 8-2.

* Abhinav Srivastava and Nicholas Santiago won at first doubles, 8-2.

* Srivastava won at first singles 6-3, 6-3. He was third in order of finish in singles, which helped clinch the team's fifth winning point at the time for the match.

* Santiago blanked his opponent at third singles, 6-0, 6-0.

* Hudson Kaylie played at fifth singles and won 6-0, 6-1.
