Bearcats Drop CUNYAC Tournament Opener

(Updated with Saturday's Game Time vs Lehman) 

The softball team lost a tough 11-3 contest to John Jay College in their first game of the double-elimination tournament on a rainy Friday at Brooklyn College.

The Bearcats fell behind early 2-0 in the first inning, but came back to take the lead with two runs in the third inning and one in the fourth.

Carly Quint smacked a two-run single to plate Megan Bell and Jessica Davis for a 2-2 tie in the third.

They took a 3-2 lead in the next inning on an RBI singleby Davis to score Amber Rivera.

The Bloodhounds took control the rest of the way with a big seven-run fourth inning for the 11-3 win.

The Bearcats will next play Lehman College in an elimination game on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Brooklyn College.
