CUNYAC Statement

FLUSHING, N.Y. (May 7, 2022) – Due to the inclement weather that has ravaged the region all weekend, day two of the 2022 CUNYAC/Pepsi Softball Championship was postponed.
 
As a result of the postponement and the requirement to submit a conference champion to the NCAA prior to Sunday's selection show, the remainder of the tournament has become a best-of-three series between the top two seeds, Hunter and John Jay. This is a result of each team winning its respective first round contests to advance to the winner's bracket of the championship. The decision to move to this format was made following lengthy discussions with the remaining member institutions.
 
The best-of-three series is scheduled for Sunday, May 8 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Brooklyn College. The series will broadcast on Facebook Live.

The Baruch softball team will now await to see if they will get a berth into the ECAC Division III Championship Tournament. The tournament bracket, opponent and location will be announced on late Monday afternoon.
