Men's Soccer Now 3-0 in CUNYAC! Defeat Medgar Evers

The men's soccer team continue their strong start to their CUNYAC schedule with a 5-2 victory tonight against the Cougars of Medgar Evers College at Randall's Island Field #70.

The Bearcats are now 3-0 in CUNYAC with 19 goals scored and only 3 conceded behind a strong defense and high-scoring offense.

The Bearcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead after just 26 minutes, but Medgar Evers kept it interesting in the second half scoring twice in a five minute span.

The Cougars kept attacking for their third goal, but Daniel Fomenko put the match out of reach in the 85th minute for the eventual 5-2 result.

Arman Celebi, who on Monday was named the CUNYAC Player of the Week after his 5-goal performance against York, added two more goals in tonight's win.

Ammar Ahmedshaker and Mohamed Nasr scored the first two goals to set the winning tone early in the match.    

The Bearcats out-shot the Cougars 20-9 en route to an undefeated start in the CUNYAC.

Saibo Ceesay and Dadley Dorfeuille scored the goals for the Cougars.
