Bearcats Drop Two at Saint Elizabeth

The softball team lost a doubleheader 4-0 and 5-1 to the Eagles of Saint Elizabeth University on Tuesday afternoon in Morristown, New Jersey.

The visiting Bearcats and Eagles played a competitive doubleheader, but the hosts had one big inning in each game that enabled them to walk away with the victories.

In the first game, the Eagles scored once in the second inning and three more in the third to account for the 4-0 result despite being limited to three hits.

Julia Cuttone hit a single in the fourth inning and Milagros Arias had a single to lead off the fifth for the Bearcats' two hits.

In the second game, the two teams were scoreless for three innings but the Eagles blew the game wide open with a five run, fourth inning via four hits and and one error.

The Bearcats scored their lone run during their last at-bat on a fielder's choice RBI by Bridget Campanelli that brought home Mia Feddah.

Faddah, Cuttone, Campanelli and Grace Osuch each had a hit in game two this afternoon in northern New Jersey.
