Baseball Win Streak Reaches Four, Defeat Old Westbury (13-6)

The baseball team is on a 4-game winning streak after defeating the Panthers of SUNY Old Westbury, 13-6, in a high-scoring contest on Thursday afternoon at Flowers Park in New Rochelle.

The Bearcats set the tone early with 9 runs on 8 hits in the first inning and scored a run in each of the last 4 innings for the home victory on a warm afternoon.

Eight different players scored at least one run with rookie Joseph Bello (4-5, 2 RBI, 2 runs), Brian Hwang (3-4, 2 runs, 1 RBI), and Joseph Cocozza (3-5, 2 RBI, 1 run) powering the Bearcats at the plate.

Jude Jackson earns his first intercollegiate win by going 5 innings and striking out 3.

Jack Miller pitched 4 solid innings of long relief and allowed only one run with 4 strikeouts.

Jamal Ritter led the visiting Panthers batting 2-3 with 3 runs scored, a triple, and two walks.
