Men's Tennis Defeats John Jay (5-0), Advances to 11th Straight CUNYAC FInal

The men's tennis team defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 5-0, in a CUNYAC Tournament semifinal match played on Sunday afternoon indoors at Alley Pond in Queens.

The Bearcats won all three doubles (#3 via forfeit) and two singles (#5, #6 via forfeit) to record the five points. Per postseason rules, the match ended upon the fifth team point being won.

The Bearcats will advance to play in their 11th straight CUNYAC Final on Thursday against Hunter College.

Prior to today's match, the team honored Elijah Wingfield, Jim Bauer, Philip Dwan and Christopher Tham on Bearcat Appreciation Day. They were each playing in their final home match.
