CUNYAC CHAMPIONSHIP PAGE
The Bearcats have advanced to Day 2 of the CUNYAC Softball Championship being hosted by Brooklyn College.
They lost their first game 5-0 to Hunter but bounced back in the elimination game to defeat Brooklyn 2-0.
The Bearcats advance to Friday's Game 5 to play Hunter with the loser being eliminated. A complete schedule can be found below. They will need to win all their games on Friday to win the title.
In the first game, the Bearcats' bats were kept quiet with only three total hits. Two singles by Carly Quint and one by Milagros Arias accounted for the hitting.
The game was very close with Hunter leading 1-0 through five innings but they broke it open with four runs in the sixth inning for the 5-0 victory.
In the second game, Caroline Gallagher pitched the complete game shutout with two strikeouts, while a pair of RBI singles by Quint enabled the Bearcats to record their first playoff victory since 2017.
There was also a milestone reached today as Quint recorded her 100th career hit.
