Women's Volleyball Wins Home Opener, Defeat Purchase

The women's volleyball team recorded a 25-18, 25-12, 25-3 home sweep of the Panthers of SUNY Purchase on Tuesday evening in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats started slow hitting a negative .036 in the opening set, but came back very strong hitting .464 in the second set and an even better .692 in the third for the non-conference victory.

The turning point took place in the second set with the Bearcats down 8-2, which forced a timeout, but they tallied 48 of the next 61 points en route to the victory at home.

The match theme was purple tonight as the Bearcats and SAAC hosted Suicide Prevention Awareness Night.
